Student counselling

What is student counselling?

Based on the needs of the student, the student counselling assist the student in becoming aware of, for example, hers/his interests, evaluating previous studies as well as working experiences, to independently make future study and carrier choices. The student counsellor also assist the student to enhance hers/his ability to independently collect and evaluate information regarding study and carrier questions so that the student can make well-founded decisions regarding hers/his possibilities regarding continuing studies within universities, various professions as well as on the labour market in general.

Interruption of studies and credit transfers

The counsellor also handles applications for interruption of studies and credit transfers. If you want to make an application you need to book a meeting to discuss your application. The meeting is important in order for your application to be successful. Then fill in the relevant form below. If you want to make a temporary break in your studies but lack the valid reasons for an interruption of studies you should use the form "Notification of study break".

Student counselling is provided as a service to all students at the School of Global Studies, but is divided between first cycle (Bachelor level)and second cycle (Master's programmes and advanced courses).

First cycle (Bachelor level):

Telephone hours: Tuesdays: 14.00-16.00, Thursdays: 10.00-12.00
Appointments: All days by appointment. N.B.!
Appointments have to be booked in advance by e-mail.

Second cycle (Master's programmes and courses):
