  • Call for applications: Scholarship for studies at one of the top U.S. universities

    [20 Dec 2016] The Brittingham Viking Organization is now offering one scholarship for the academic year of 2017-2018 and one scholarship for summer courses in 2017. The scholarships cover travel to and from the U.S, tuition, accommodation and basic living expenses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, recognized as a public Ivy league university. The total value of the scholarships is USD 40,000 for the full year scholarship and USD 12,000 for the summer scholarship. You can choose freely what subjects you want to study at the university. Deadline for application: January 9th 2017.

    [26 May 2016] The 7th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) kicked off on April 26, and brought together more than 4,300 participants, including Heads of State and Government, political officials, civil society representatives, religious and youth leaders, who exchanged their perspectives under the main theme on 'Living Together in Inclusive Societies: A Challenge and A Goal'. Maria Jose Velasquez Flores, a Global Studies master's student, was one of the selected participants at the youth event.

Deadline for take-home exams and written assignments is the same date at 12.00. Further information on take-home exams will be published in GUL. Let us know if you wish to take part, by sending an e-mail to the Student Office (student@globalstudies.gu.se) on Wednesday August 5 at the latest. State your name, personal identification number and what exam you would like to take (course/module).

    [13 May 2015] During spring term 2015 Araceli Itzel Gomez Cañipa and Boris Andres Sea Choque study at the University of Gothenburg as exchange students within the Linnaeus-Palme International Exchange Programme. - The option was published in my career and immediately I thought that a Swedish university is a great choice if somebody searches for a good academic level, Boris says.
