About Amalie Weinrich

Amalie Ravn Weinrich is a Doctoral Student in Peace and Development Research at the School of Global Studies since August 2017. Amalie has an interdisciplinary and comparative approach to the study of citizenship and Regional Organisations and holds a MA in Psychosocial Studies from Birkbeck College, University of London (2015) and a MSc in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London (2016).

Current research

Amalie's doctoral dissertation titled 'Citizenship perspectives and practices in Regional Organisations - ECOWAS and ASEAN in comparative perspective' seeks to explore ways in which the concept of citizenship is understood beyond the nation state, by Regional Organisations. In doing so, she investigates citizenship perceptions and practices in ASEAN and ECOWAS.
