Global Migration Seminar: Post-World War II Migrations in Finland - From an Emigration to and Immigration Country

Research profile seminar

The presentation provides an overview of the main international migration flows to and from Finland in the post-WWII era.

The two key phenomena are Finnish migration to Sweden from 1950s to the 1970s and growing immigration to Finland since the end of the Cold war. It will also be discusses how the situation has shaped Finnish migration-related debates.

All Global Migration Seminars start with a common breakfast at 8:30 in the kitchen at School of Global Studies (Fourth floor, house 2E, Campus Linné). Welcome!
