Thursday April 26, 09:00-17:00 (09:00-12:00 in A319 and 13:00-17:00 in A319, lunch in the SGS kitchen).

Hosted by the School of Global Studies & the program on Governance and Local Development, Dept. of Political Science.

SAFEResearch provide researchers with a targeted resource guiding them in engaging in safe, ethical research. The workshop aims to present and discuss the draft handbook. Each panel will focus on a key chapter in the handbook, with key external discussants and the audience providing constructive criticism with an eye to improving the handbook. This input will be used to revise the handbook, with an aim to sensitizing the academic community to the problems involved in field research in challenging contexts, developing a shared understanding of potential solutions, and providing strategies for addressing these problems.

All seniors and PhDs are welcome to participate! A more detailed schedule will be sent out later. Please see the detailed program and be sure to register if you plan to attend: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/saferesearch-handbook-workshop-tickets-44105890907
