Global Migration Seminar: Unaccompanied Children - spending your youth waiting in uncertainty

Research profile seminar

Possibilites, obstacles and challenges for unaccompanied children and their reception in a municipality in a Swedish big city-region.

Before the seminar (from 8:30), the participants are invited to breakfast in the kitchen at the School of Global Studies.

The starting point for the seminar is a "on-going evaluation" research study on the reception of unaccompanied children in a municipality in a Swedish big city-region during the period 2014-2016.

Live Stretmo will discuss the possibilities and obstacles as well as the challenges that the youths in the study meet, but also which relations and what support that was provided within the framework of the municipal reception of unaccompanied children.

The study started when the municipality in focus was receiving approximately 40 children and adolescents, and ended half a year after the so called "refugee crisis".
