Joan Roura Exposito

Joan Roura Exposito is a PhD student at the Institute of HeritageSciences (Incipit) in Santiago de Compostela. Joan is developing his doctoral thesis on themes of social movements, political participation and heritage processes and will be a guest researcher at the School of Global Studies from September 1 to December 20, 2019.

Joan Roura Exposito studied a degree in social and cultural anthropology in 2010, and a master in anthropology and ethnography in 2013 at the University of Barcelona. During his studies, he worked on topics related to indigenism, migrations and sport in the Plurinational State of Bolivia.

At SGS he will give lectures on heritization of political repression in Catalonia, and on political participation in heritage. He will also write an article with Ruy Blanes and will be reading bibliography.
